| The following two video clips in MPEG format demonstrate
open-loop manipulation on the MDMS array implementing an elliptic field.

(2.4MB): An orientable object is oriented by an elliptic field. This is
the video from which the still frames were taken in Figure 18 in the text.

(3.4MB): An unorientable object is improperly oriented by the same elliptic
field. Note that the object finds a secondary stable orientation at a cell
transition: the object bounces back and forth at its final orientation.
